Chaden Lassoued

Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of the Board

Chaden Lassoued is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of CEC. Mr. Lassoued’s 26 years of industry experience includes management, operations, sales, marketing and finance in Houston, Latin America, the Middle East and Europe. He is also a Senior Advisor to Bain & Company. Chad founded Kinetics Energy, a company backed by Natural Gas Partners and has advised Blue Wolf Capital Partners, Bain Capital and Blackstone on numerous transactions. Chad held the CEO role for Renegade Services. Prior to that he held numerous senior leadership roles at Schlumberger, the world’s leading supplier of technologies for characterizing, drilling, producing and processing reservoirs for the oil and gas sector. He has managed numerous major complex industrial projects and had several roles including President Well Intervention Segment, Vice President Corporate Strategy, Vice President Drilling and Measurements and Vice President Testing Services. Chad is also an Innovation Leadership and Global Cultural Awareness Advisor to the MIT Professional Program. Chad has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering and Project Management from the National Engineering College of Tunis and Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.

Danny Cook

Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Danny Cook is the Chief Commercial Officer of CEC Energy and is proud to continue the family legacy as the 3rd generation to manage the company, which was founded in 1956 as Coonrod Electric. Since 2012, Mr. Cook has contributed to expanding the service solutions portfolio with a diligent focus on strategically recruiting and developing an experienced and talented team at all levels of the company; challenging and empowering that team to leverage strategic initiatives while managing operational excellence in a manner that has resulted in ongoing growth and success. Mr. Cook’s versatile approach and his desire to see CEC’s people and culture continue to grow and thrive in current and new markets on a broader scale, led to the equity partnership with LCG Holdings in early 2022, further promoting the company’s mission to “Empower People to Power Communities”.

Prior to joining CEC Energy, Mr. Cook worked 12 years in both domestic and international offshore and onshore markets, overseeing pipeline construction, operations management, and business development.  His diversity and knowledge are rooted in his endeavors while on assignments in the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. East Coast, West Africa, Mexico, South America and Southeast Asia. He is grateful for the many relationships formed and the experience and accomplishments gained in the positions he held working as an Operations Manager of OPI International, Director of Operations and Projects for Hallin Marine West Africa (a Superior Energy Services Company), Project Manager for Canyon Offshore (a Helix Energy Solutions Company), Project Engineer for Subsea 7, and Project Engineer/Field Engineer for Horizon Offshore (Cal Dive).

Mr. Cook has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Texas State University.

John Sanchez

Chief Human Resources Officer

Mr. Sanchez joined CEC in 2012 after spending 20 years with the Texas Department of Transportation. John currently oversees Human Resources, Recruiting, IT, Purchasing and Asset Operations for the companies of CEC Energy Services. Mr. Sanchez adds over 29 years of combined experience in accounts payable and receivable, general accounting operations, safety operations, purchasing, warehousing, information systems, and human resources. He has previously held titles of director of administration, business operations manager, purchasing materials administrator, human resources manager, chief accountant and warehouse supervisor. Mr. Sanchez has a Bachelor of Behavioral Science Degree from Hardin-Simmons University and is designated a Certified Senior Professional from the Society of Human Resources Management.

Brian Cobb

Vice President of Estimating

Mr. Brian Cobb joined CEC Energy in 2022 and became a valued team member by managing competitive and successful bid estimates across a variety of business segments. During his time at CEC, he has implemented new processes, established channel-specific supplier contracts, and embraced cutting-edge methods to stay competitive in a transitional market. In his role as Vice President of Estimating, he is responsible for leading the ongoing growth and development of the estimating department and defining future enhancements to the company’s estimating initiatives. His success within the industry can be attributed to over a decade of experience within the electrical construction field of estimating, a can-do approach to challenges, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management.

Sham Myatt

Chief Financial Officer

Sham Myatt is Chief Financial Officer for CEC. Prior to that he was CFO for Renegade Services. For 33 years Mr. Myatt worked at Myatt, Blume and Associates, LTD., L.L.P., CPA’s, the last several years as managing partner. While at the firm he served as contract CFO for companies in the banking and transportation industries. Mr. Myatt was board certified in 1990 by the Texas State Board of Accountancy and received his CPA in March of that same year. He is a member of the Texas State Board of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is state-certified for accounting and preparation of Medicaid Cost Reports. Sham is an active member of Levelland Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, the Levelland Economic Development Corporation and the Levelland Tax Incentive Foundation. He is a graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Hanah Watkins

Controller

Hanah Watkins joined CEC in 2017 while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has worked her way through the company’s ranks holding the positions of accountant, and assistant controller. Mrs. Watkins briefly took a career-advancing position at Cheniere Energy before rejoining CEC in her current role as Manager of Finance. Mrs. Watkins oversees our day-to-day operations for accounting and finance, managing a department consisting of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cost analysis, and financial accounting. She also plays an integral part in maintaining our external financial relationships and regulatory compliance. Mrs. Watkins is a graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with degrees in Business Administration and Master of Accountancy.

Max O’Neill

Senior Vice President, BD & Strategic Partnerships

Mr. O’Neill joined CEC in 2021 as the Regional Operations Manager for South Texas and The Gulf Coast. During his 40-year-plus career, Max has served in the oil and gas, mining and energy industries. Major projects have included refineries, chemical plants, mining facilities, drill ships, drill rigs, topside platform construction, offshore hookups, oil production facilities, piperack modules, process modules and power plants. In addition, he has performed capital project annuity work. Prior to joining CEC, Mr. O’Neill served as the Vice President of Electrical Operations for Bay Ltd. where he spent the last 29 years in the industrial EPC industry executing projects both domestically and globally. Max is a licensed Master Electrician in the States of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.  

Stephen Lee

Vice President Automation

Stephen started his career in the military. During the Gulf War he served as a special weapons technician where he utilized automation and instrumentation to arm and assemble special munitions. After the military, Mr. Lee worked for Superior Optimization. He followed this with the successful launching of Longhorn Automation and Electrical, LLC, an automation and electrical company. After selling Longhorn, Stephen worked for Eagle Automation Company, developing automation systems for numerous operators in The Permian. In addition to overseeing the West Texas and New Mexico region, Stephen is currently using his diverse automation and electrical experience to build a reliable and sustainable automation division for CEC.

Trey Tumlinson

Vice President, Integrity Solutions

Mr. Tumlinson joined CEC Corrosion Services in April 2015 as a Cathodic Protection Technician. He has over 21 years of cathodic protection, pipeline integrity and field services experience. During his career, he has designed and installed cathodic protection systems, performed annual surveys and leak detection surveys, DCVG, ACVG, PCM, depth of cover, AC mitigation and stray current testing. Trey has managed contractors performing construction, including recoats, test leads and deep well ground bed. He has worked for Copano Energy, LLC, Licorr/Stork Industries, EMS, CR Jones & Associates and Industrial Corrosion Services. He has maintained NACE CP2 Cathodic Protections Technician certification since 2011 and CP1 Cathodic Protection Tester since 2006.
