Augustin Rodriguez has been a part of the CEC team for nearly four years, helping build strong safety cultures across some of the company’s largest projects. As an HSE Lead, he has played a key role in launching projects such as Long Lake, Leon, Milano, and the current North Carolina project.

One of Augustin’s proudest accomplishments was leading safety efforts on the Long Lake project, where he and his team supported approximately 350 employees and completed the project without any major incidents or recordable injuries.

“The Arkansas project really defined where I’m at today,” Augustin said. “But it wasn’t just me, it was our whole team. Without a good team, there’s no way we would have been successful.”

Augustin’s passion for safety was shaped by a near-miss incident early in his career that changed his perspective on workplace safety. That commitment became even more personal when his son entered the industry.

“I want to help make sure everyone gets home safely,” he shared.

When asked which STRIVE value resonates most with him, Augustin pointed to teamwork. He recalls employees across departments stepping in to help one another whenever needed, contributing to the success of our projects.

For those just starting in the electrical industry, Augustin offers simple advice: “Stay teachable and don’t get offended easily. Be open to learning from others and different ways of doing things. That mindset will take you far.”
